Three Sarasota Police officers recently completed a 2-week, 80-hour Motor School, earning certification in the Basic Police Motorcycle Operators Course based on the Institute of Police Technology and Management (IPTM) curriculum. The training was taught by Sarasota Police and Sarasota County (FL) Sheriff's Office instructors, with participation from the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office and Florida Highway Patrol, and focused on advanced motorcycle handling, safety and real-world field training.
