Durbin and Duckworth reintroduce bill to reform federal disaster relief process

The Chronicle obtained the FEMA draft maps and, in an exclusive analysis, identified over 420,000 properties that may be affected by the changes. Across Harris County, nearly 350,000 single-family residences would be recategorized in higher-risk flood zones under the new draft maps.
