This slow-moving filter feeder is one of the largest known fish species and is highly migratory. This one was spotted (get it?) in Central America where they travel during the colder winter months. As the water heats up, these fish can be found off our Florida coasts, but not in huge numbers, as their populations hover between an estimated 10 to 20 thousand mature individuals left in the wild and are not often kept in captivity because of their size and feeding habits.
