The George Pickens trade almost never happened because the Dallas Cowboys were in talks with the Baltimore Ravens to land wide receiver Rashod Bateman.

The Dallas Cowboys added a weapon with star potential this week when they struck a deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers to acquire wide receiver George Pickens in exchange for a third-round pick and a 2027 Day 3 pick swap.

Well after the George Pickens trade was finalized, one person had yet to publicly speak on the move. Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin did not appear in front of the press to give a comment on Pickens heading to Dallas.
