On July 1, former Lightning defenseman Nick Perbix became an unrestricted free agent, ultimately signing a two-year, $5.5 million contract with the Nashville Predators.

Perbix is also reunited with one of his former teammates, Steven Stamkos. The two crossed paths in Tampa during Perbix's first two seasons in 2022-23 and 2023-24.
