The origin story of Superman is well-known at this point, yet James Gunn’s DCU movie adds in a massive, irreversible retcon to the tale.

Superman” has finally soared into theaters, and with it comes a wealth of cameos and fun references to its DC Comics origin.

But let's give the Kryptonians some credit here and make some generous assumptions.
