The Mariners will need to trade some prospects in order to become World Series contenders, and here are two that should be on the move.

The Seattle Mariners and Arizona Diamondbacks could be the dream trade partners ahead of the deadline this season.

Fujinami has signed a deal with the Yokohama DeNA BayStars of NPB, that team announced. Seattle released Fujinami from the minors last week, presumably to pursue such a new contract. The 6-foot-6 righty throws hard and joined the A's in 2023. He had an 8.57 ERA with Oakland, though.

"I think the Seattle Mariners are going to be aggressive. And I think they should be," ESPN's Jeff Passan said about the upcoming trade deadline.
