Edison International Inc.‘s Southern California utility equipment created a powerful electric arc above Altadena, Calif., that ignited the deadly Eaton fire, a law firm suing the utility says, citing new video footage from a nearby gas station.

Multiple lawsuits have been filed against Southern California Edison in response to the Eaton Fire. New video released Monday suggests the fire originated near an SCE power line. An SCE rep said they are committed to the ongoing investigation.
