New traditions, presentation features and uniforms have been added to the second edition of the college football game since its return from hiatus.

Road to Glory (the mode where you’re one athlete, not a whole team) is actually fun now, at least once. Central Pennsylvania two-star QB Caleb Jenkins flunked out of Arizona State, then became a model citizen at Marcus Freeman’s (!) Wisconsin. Never was a big fan of this mode, but its new high school recruitment phase provides enough depth.

Red Sox vs Yankees. Barcelona vs Real Madrid. Packers vs Bears. Sports games have pretty much done it all over the last 40 years, with one notable omission: Rivalries. No sim has ever properly nailed the intensity and atmosphere of a heated derby – until now.
