The crash happened Wednesday morning around 9:30 a.m., just before the ramp to Mississippi Highway 609 at Ocean Springs Exit 50.
Officials say a truck and inmate transport van collided on I-10 near Ocean Springs, killing an officer and inmate and leaving three others injured.
The crash left a prisoner and the driver in the transport van dead, and a total of three other people seriously injured.
