Since signing with the Philadelphia 76ers back in the summer of 2024, Paul George has fallen short of expectations. As has been the case for most of the latter half of his NBA career, injuries continue to limit the impact the nine-time All-Star has on the floor.

The Philadelphia 76ers currently have more than 80% of their salary cap out, and latest Joel Embiid and Paul George injury updates are grim.

On Monday, ahead of Philadelphia’s clash with the Clippers, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported Paul George would be taking the court for the first time this season. George has been recovering from a knee injury he suffered over the summer that wound up requiring surgery.

George had a difficult first season in Philly, appearing in just 41 games and posting his worst statistical season since his sophomore year in the league. This offseason, George underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee after suffering an injury in a summer workout, causing him to miss the first 12 games of the Sixers' season.
