The Anaheim Ducks honored Joel Quenneville on Sunday with a pregame ceremony at Honda Center celebrating his 1,000 career wins. Quenneville – in his first season coaching for the Ducks – reached the milestone with the team’s victory over the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday.

Coach Quenneville got his 1,000th victory in the NHL. The Ducks head coach sits alongside Coach Scotty Bowman as the only two people who have ever gotten four-digit wins in the league. His record of 1,000-595-153 is still 244 wins behind the Montreal Canadiens legend but this was not in his mind entering the game against the Oilers.
