'American Idol' to stream live on Disney+ for the first time, launches companion podcast (exclusive)
Disney+ is going to Hollywood! Starting next month, “American Idol” will stream live on Disney+ in addition to ABC for the first time. (The show will also continue to stream tape-delayed the next day on Hulu).
Season 24 of “American Idol” kicks off strong with auditions at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. Those without cable can watch the show for free through FuboTV or DIRECTV, each of which offers a free trial to new users. Sling is another option for streaming the show and promotional offers are available.
