India says its strikes into Pakistan-administered Kashmir and Pakistan on Wednesday killed more than 100 militants.

People in Kashmir say they are relieved but uneasy after India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire. The deal was intended to defuse the worst military confrontation between the two countries in decades.

Fighting and explosions in Indian Kashmir that came hours after the countries declared a ceasefire died down by dawn, and power was restored in most border areas in India after a blackout on Saturday night.
