Trinidad stopped 35 of his 42 victims on his way to the International Boxing Hall of Fame and inspired a generation of fighters from his homeland and beyond. One who has gone back and studied the legendary Trinidad is Edgar Berlanga, for whom Trinidad was a staple ingredient of his boxing education over the years.

Edgar Berlanga went after Oscar De La Hoya during the boxer's pre-fight presser with Hamzah Sheeraz. Berlanga is looking to get back into big-time boxing after defeating JonathanGonzalez-Ortiz in his last fight.

The 28-year-old checks every list to be a major star in boxing. He's good-looking, talks well, and most importantly in the sport of boxing, he knocks people out. That should be enough to vault him into the next stratosphere. But it hasn't. Why?
