I was in DC years ago (2012) and had a great time using Old Town Trolley. I'm planning another visit this fall. I looked online at the routes/map -- is it my imagination, or is the "Green Route" a lot different than it used to be? When we used it years ago, I thought it stopped at key points of interest, like the Cathedral (like the orange line does). NOW it just seems to be a line to pick up and drop off at the hotels. What changed?

We were in DC in May 2019 and fund the trolley car to be of great value and covered most of the main points of interest.
